Are You Unstoppable? My Thoughts
Yesterday, I shared a story from Cynthia Kersey of Unstoppable Enterprises, Inc. She sends out a daily email and I am the proud recipient of her words and stories of encouragement.
Sarah Morris’ story challenges each of us, with or without physical challenges to stop thinking about all the reasons why we can’t fulfill our dreams. Stop thinking about all of the “excuses” you have allowed yourself to embrace, to justify being where you are today in life. Make a decision that nothing will stop you from accomplishing your dreams.
One of my favorite movie quotes comes from the movie “Sister Act 2″. Whoopi Goldberg is standing on the cornor speaking to Lauren Hill’s character and she says, “if everyday when you wake up all you can think about is singing, you’re suppose to be singing girl.”
To me, that is a powerful statement for anyone who struggles to move forward and accomplish big goals, dreams or career choices. What do you wake up thinking about?
Here are some coaching points to get you moving closer to your dreams! I dare you to try them!
Coaching Points from Sarah Morris’ Story:
1. Sarah loved the Dodgers. Sarah had a passion for baseball. She had ONE dream! What’s your passion? What do you wake up thinking about everyday?
2. Sarah focused on possibilities, on limitations!
3. Sarah was willing to think out of the box.
4. Sarah was willing to BE CREATIVE and to BE UNIQUE!
5. Sarah was willing to work hard to write every day.
6. Sarah was knowlegeable about baseball and as a result she had credibility.
7. Sarah was willing to RISK - She was not stuck in her limitations nor was she concerned about what others might think.

What an inspiring story of courage and determination despite her situation-we should all be motivated by this story to not allow any excuses to stop us from pursuing our dream!
