How To Hire The Next Leader of the Free World?

Many of you I am sure have been following the Presidential Primary process here in the United States at some level no matter where you live in the world. The impact of the decision we make as a nation will ripple through and impact nations, not just the United States.

I am very interested in the process of interviewing, whether it is an entry level, hourly position, a manager or leader, or the President of the United States. As a citizen in the US, you get to hire the next President. You get to participate in the decision making and cast your vote. So how do we hire the next leader of the free world?

Here are some keys to hiring the next leader of the free world?

1. ASK questions. Don’t rely on someone else to ask questions for you. You ASK questions of each of these candidates

2. Listen to the answer given. And then listen deeper, beyond the words being said. What does your gut tell you?

3. Evaluate the answers given. Is there substance to what is being said, or is it shallow?

4. Look at the organization this leader will lead… Do they fit? Not do they fit in Washington, D.C. or the White House, but do they fit in with where we as a nation are… can they lead this country, the people.

5. Will you follow the leader in good times or bad times? Will the nation follow this leader? “A leader that has no one following them is a man out for a walk by himself!”

6. ASK more questions.

7. Gather data from others who have engaged in this process of interviewing these candidates. Discuss what you are thinking, feeling, hearing and seeing with others.

8. Identify the core values of each candidate. What’s most important to each candidate? When you know the answer to that question, you have reached a core value. Whether they ever admit it, each candidate will make decisions based on their core values. Not the constitition as some have stated.

There is an investment of time when looking for strong leaders to run any organization. So if you are still undecided about which candidate to select, that’s ok. We have a responsibility to ask tough questions. Do that until you find the best candidate for the job. And in the end if you can’t decide, here’s why you should vote for me as the next President of the United States!

We already have one leader of the free world. Myself. Isn’t that enough?

    To Darlene MacDaniel
From the Leader of the Free World

I got your message and let me just say that I don’t need any more votes. What I need right now is more guns. Can you help?

Hi Les! You are going to lose my vote. Why the talk about more guns? What’s driving that response today?

    Hey Darlene,

Like I said, I am the Leader of the Free World-self appointed because we don’t have enough time left if we want to save this planet from the forces of greed and ignorance. Did you not read Prince Charles address to the European Parliament? Did you not read the millennnium report to the united nations? Did you not read the book Environmental Ethics by Patrick Currie? Did you not read the book Revenge of Gaia by James Lovelock?

Democracy? I say lock up the politicians-just as soon as possible. Apparently they spend their whole lives under a rock- not even noticing that North Americans are consuming the world’s resources at 5 times the rate of sustainability.

Using corn, wheat and soy to make methanol? What we need right now is more cars on the road and more starving people.

    Cast your vote now.
