Jobless? Try Second Life - Virtual Job Fair in Luxemberg
Back in June I read an article in the Wall Street Journal introducing me to the virtual community called Second Life. I was blown away by what I read and even more amazed by creating an avatar and attempting to walk around in Second Life. I gave it the old college try and left it alone after that… But now we have a Second Life blog here at B5 written by Simone Brunozzi. Check out her site, Second Life Pros.
This morning, I was visiting Simone’s blog and noticed her post advertising a virtual Job Fair in Luxemberg. Are you looking to work for an international organization? You may want to check out this job fair. Much like my first post concerning this virtual world, you will have an opportunity to participate in a virtual job interview! That is amazing to me!!

Let me leave you with this thought as I complete this post. Why should you consider participating in this Virtual Job Fair? I believe that if you are unemployed, your job is to find a job. That being said, what an interesting way to meet companies, that you may not otherwise have the opportunity to meet. It doesn’t cost you anything but time to participate in this virtual job fair. Whether you are looking to work in Luxemberg or not, the experience may be useful. This virtual job fair is the first in Luxemberg, but not the first ever. That being said, your experience with this job fair, may give you a leg up when there is a virtual job fair in your community or country. Try it! If you do stop by, please let me know. It’s so true what you wrote. I found a job through the first virtual career fair of Luxembourg whilst chatting from home! The http://www.working-worlds.com is now organising a 2nd event, this time for the Benelux (Belgium, Holland and Luxembourg) and the event will take place on May 29. It’s absolutely worth a shot, not only when you’re jobless!

Thank you for sharing your story and the new link. I am going to try to get out to Second Life the one in May. I have trouble with the software on my MAC computer when I attempt to go into Second Life. Good stuff!!
