Motivation - An Internal Issue

by Darlene McDaniel on February 3rd, 2007

Everyone has an internal motivation switch. It is either on or off. Motivation is an internal issue. It is not something someone else can do for you. It is something you must switch on, on the inside. What others can do to help you become motivated is to CREATE and environment that is safe to make mistakes, an environment will challenge you to grow, an environment that challenges you to excellence rather than perfection. There is no perfect job, no perfect boss, no perfect organization! There is mess everywhere. Ultimately, you have to decide who you are and what you want to bring to the table.

I am introducing a new feature on the blog this month. "Thought for Today" - I love sayings and motivational thoughts. I will thread them through my blog on a regular basis. Here’s the first:

"Let our advance worrying become advance thinking and planning."
