On A Personal Note: Party & Presents (Give-A-Ways)
Today is a good day here at Interview Chatter. I am celebrating my one year anniversary as a blogger. My desire to blog was birthed from a desire to write and to share information that would be valuable for job seekers. Unfortunately, early in my work career I came up against obstacles when looking for employment and when looking for promotion within organizations. I didn’t know then, what I know today and as far as I knew, there wasn’t any information to help me along the way. The most painful experience had to do with not having a degree. Here is a link: Degree or No Degree. As a result of that experience, I went back to school and finished my undergraduate degree. In the process of that I learned how to effectively interview, I learned how to help other effectively interview and I began to coach people how to get the jobs they wanted. There is no silver bullet. It’s more about principles, and knowing yourself, and learning how to understand the people and the organization you are considering. It’s also about getting no’s and learning from the “no”. And it’s about learning how to determine when you should say “yes” and when you should walk away from the offer. That is snap shot of the genesis of Interview Chatter and Tough Questions? Great Answers! Tough Questions? Great Answers! is the workshop I wrote years ago and the framework I use when working with clients who need assistance finding jobs. That being said, one of the give-a-ways I have to celebrate one year of blogging:
I have 3 coaching sessions available. 30 minutes of free coaching for 3 people who need help with getting a job. In order to WIN, you need to take a minute and share your story. Scroll down and leave a comment. Share your story. Why do you need help? How long have you been unemployed? What type of job are you looking for? What do you want to accomplish in your minute 30 coaching session? To my readers, if you don’t need the coaching session, but you know someone who does, let them know, give them my url address and invite them to visit and leave their story. I have 3 sessions to give-a-way! I look forward to hearing your story!
Have a great day… oh, don’t forget to get some cake and ice cream! It’s yummy!

This is a wonderful thing you’re doing to help others. I’ll be sure to pass this along to someone who I know could use it. Thanks Darlene, and happy birthday again!
