Social Networking & Your Job Search - LinkedIn
Social Networking is mushrooming online. Everyday it seems another invitation is in my email offering me an opportunity to connect. I honestly can’t keep up with them. Despite my slow pace, there are some very good social networks that will assist you with your job search. My favorite is LinkedIn. If you are a professional, and you are looking for people that can help you network into your next job opportunity, go to LinkedIn and create your profile and get to networking. Get out there and meet people. Ask questions and be a resource.
The month of June is going to primarily dedicated to social networking and your job search. I want to do some research and share my findings with you. I want to hear from you what is working and what is not. To get us started, I am reposting my series on LinkedIn I did last year. There is great information in these posts that will help you understand the basics of LinkedIn. Keep in mind, there have been some changes since I did the series. I will do some work this month to uncover some of the enhancements of LinkedIn and I will share them. For now, take a look at this series and jump in.
