Take Your Daughter & Son To Work Day
Good Morning to all!! I am very excited today. Something a little different than what I normally do! I will be updating this post throughout the day with the happenings at my place of employment. I have brought my youngest to work in honor of Take Your Daughter and Son to Work Day. So, I will be adding pictures and commentary throughout the day! Please feel free to share your comments and what is happening at your place of employment. The timing of this will be off a little because I do actually have to do some work today, but as I stated I will be updating as much as I can. Feel free to share what is happening as well, and we may have a very fun post by the end of the day! Enjoy!
We left our place this morning at 7:00am and got on the road. No school today for my daughter. The picture of the bus is more a visual representation of school than more than anything. She doesn’t take the bus. In the ![]()

Here is a picture of my little one on her way to work with mom this morning.
And here she is arriving at my job. She meets some of my colleagues and registers for the days events!
Can you guess which school this is?

My story goes back to Take Your Daughter & Son To Work Day 2001.
At the time, I was the manager of a 200-strong IT department. I thought my daughter (14 at the time) would be impressed with how organised and respected her dad was.
She went home and told her mum ‘You know what dad does all day? Chat, gossip and drink coffee. He secretary does all the hard work’.
In a strange way, my daughter was right!
