Video Instruction: Bad Day

by Darlene McDaniel on April 24th, 2008

My husband sent this video to me at work a couple of days ago. I laughed a lot while watching it because I needed to laugh. Mostly because I was frustrated with a colleague at work in the same moment the email arrived. That moment has come and gone, and I thought there may be some lessons we could learn. Here’s your assignment: Watch the video and enjoy it. LAUGH! It really is funny.

Now that you have seen it, watch it again and think about what happens in the course of your day at work. Can you see anyone in your office in this video? How about you? What needs to happen differently in the workplace to ensure that something like this doesn’t happen? After watching this video and laughing about this video, I began to think about the frustration people feel on their jobs - DAILY. I await your thoughts! Have a Good Day!

Darlene, there are funny moments in the clip but on the whole I find it sad. I know people that have “lost it” and one point or another and it can happen to anyone. Having it immortalized on the Net can just amplify it to a complete nervous breakdown.

    Sorry to burst your bubble

    Hi Jacob,

Thank you for your comment. You are not bursting any bubble. I actually agree with you. Which is why I ask the questions regarding it in my post. I too see the sadness of it, and I believe we can learn from it. For me, when I received the email with this video I actually laughed. I laughed hard. But I can sincerely say to you and others is that my laughter had more to do with my frustrations at that moment than laughing at the person in the video. Again, why I share it. So THANK YOU for your comments and perspective!!

    Have a great day!
